History of 6 generations of Wolfhards growing up in Kitchener, Ontario

Circa 1872- Peter and Margaretta centred, Frederick on top, Henry and Catherine below
This is a story of 14 Wolfhards making Berlin / Kitchener, Ontario their home. It all started with Peter Wolfhard arriving and settling in Berlin in 1854.

Most of the photos, newspaper clippings and documents were the collection of Duretta Wolfhard, my grandmother who lived in Kitchener Waterloo through the 20th century and was our family historian. Her scrapbooks, photos and recollections were well documented and have been contributed to the Grace Schmidt room at the Kitchener Public Library.
I was born in 1954 and named after the first Peter arriving 100 years prior. 1954 was also Kitchener’s 100th anniversary of becoming a town.
