Alvin John Leslie

Alvin is the younger brother of Duretta Leslie (Wolfhard)
Alvin married Beatrice Elizabeth MacKenzie on May 20, 1933 in Kitchener, Ontario
Alvin started a delivery service in 1920 in Kitchener called Al’s Speedy Delivery. He started with a motorcycle and a side car. in 1929, he bought a Model A Ford truck. In 1936, he wanted to do something different so he sold his business and truck to 18 year old Ernie Frohlich for $150.00. Ernie built the business to become Al’s Cartage. While the original 1929 truck didn’t survive, the Frohlich’s found another 1929 Model A and restored it and used it for special events. Apparently, Al’s Cartage ceased operations in 2008.
