Faith had 3 children: David, Jane, Susan
Faith frequently visited Duretta Wolfhard in Waterloo and provided the information for the family tree on Frederick Wolfhard’s side. Duretta’s son, William Wolfhard would also visit the Austen family when out east on business.

AUSTEN, Faith Lenora – 87, Dartmouth, passed away January 31, 2008, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Montreal, she was the eldest daughter of the late Frederick and Elthea (Kennedy) Wolfhard. Faith grew up and attended school in Montreal before moving to St. Jerome, Que. She attended high school in Huntington, Que., and later achieved a secretarial diploma before accepting a position at Dominion Rubber in St. Jerome. Faith met her husband in St. Jerome while he was stationed there during the Second Word War and eventually they moved to Nova Scotia to start their family. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife and will always be remembered for her wonderful heart, beautiful smile, and for always having the time to listen to anyone who needed a sympathetic ear. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Howe Austen, and her sister, Rita Carlon (St. Jerome, Que.). She is survived by son, David and wife Judy (Mott), Dartmouth; daughters, Jane Austen (Prescott), Dartmouth; Susan (Patrick) Forbes, Bedford; niece, Beverley Lanthier, St. Jerome, Que.; grandchildren, Kimberley, Christopher, and Anthony Austen, Tara Prescott and Hal Prescott, Florida; stepgrandchildren, Ivan (Shelley) Forbes, Patrick (Jennifer) Forbes; great-grandchildren, Emma, Tyler, Kyle, and Liam; step great-grandchildren, Kyle and Emily. Visitation will be held on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland St., Dartmouth. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Christ Church, Ochterloney Street, Dartmouth, Rev. Bruce Ward and Archdeacon Paul Smith officiating Interment to follow in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Dartmouth.
