Catharine Wolfhard

Catharine was the child of Peter Wolfhard
She married August Hertel on April 3, 1879. August Hertel was the younger brother of Frederick Wolfhard’s wife, Lenora Hertel. He was a carpenter. August was born on October 2, 1853 and died May 6, 1936 from Cancer of the liver and rectum
Catharine had 5 children: Edith Eda, Emma Caroline, Wilhelmine Hertel Oskar Friedrich, born 1888 and Milton, born 1893 both died before their 1st birthdays
Catherine and August bought the property from her father, Peter around 1880 when they were wed. They lived there until around 1915 when they bought the house across the street at 147 Weber Street East. August died at this home in 1936. Catherine as a widow lived there until she moved to Water Street in 1947 and moved in with her son and law and daughter, Emma.
