There is not a lot of information on Frederick. He married Leanora on June 29, 1886. She was born on August 12, 1862 and died in September, 1946.

Frederick was a blacksmith by trade. According to entries in the Vernon Directories, he worked for several companies. They include J. R. Kaufman, Alf Schaefter, and W. Heuhs until 1925.
In 1897, Frederick lived at the corner of Water Street (now called Dorset Street) and Princess Street in Waterloo, behind the Ewald House. The Ewald House later was called the Kent and presently the Huether Hotel. The Ontario Land Registry shows the block surrounded by King, Princess and Water Street was owned by the Knutz Brewery / Ewald family since 1910. The Ontario Land Registry records for this area do not show ownership of properties before 1910. The 1920, 1921, and 1925 Vernon directories note he lived in Waterloo, behind the Hotel.
Frederick was deeded his father’s house at 100 Elgin Street after his father’s death in 1907 and sold in 1920. The 1908 Vernon directory notes Fred resided there. The 1911 Census also notes Frederick, age 49, lived at 100 Elgin with his family. His brother, Henry lived beside him at 49 Albert with his family. Both addresses were part of lot # 7 that their father, Peter originally owned.
